SPECTATOR Information

  • HOME FANS ONLY with advanced tickets for admittance
  • Fans are required to be masked and social distance
  • No approaching officials, teams, coaches, or players
  • When attending a game in the stadium or the gym, you will not be able to return if you leave
  • At the conclusion of the contest, please leave the venue immediately
  • Help us stay safe and stay open
  • All of our away opponents do NOT allow spectators from visiting schools on their campus (see Live Stream Links below)

FALL ALL SENIOR RECOGNITION NIGHT

  • Photos from Senior Night are uploaded and available to view as well as purchase at Shutterfly
  • When at the site click on the PICTURES and VIDEO tab and then select VIEW ALBUM
  • Photos were taken with two cameras so pictures are at random
  • There are at least 7 photos of every athlete and their family

COVID-19 and Return to Sport Information

You must present a signed Reasonable Assumption of Risk Waiver to be allowed to participate.

DROP-OFF PROCEDURE

  • Athletes are to arrive at designated location
  • Only athletes may leave the vehicle.
  • Athletes are masked. (Nose and mouth covered)
  • Athletes are to report to their coach.
  • Athletes had to do the same self screening to come to school before coming to practice.

PARTICIPATION PROCEDURE

  • Parents/Athletes must fill out the Reasonable Assumption of Risk Waiver to participate.NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Temperature will be taken and following questions asked before each competition:
    1. Do you have a new onset of cough, fever/chills, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
    2. Have you experienced a loss of taste or smell?
    3. Have you had exposure to a COVID-19 positive individual?
  • A temperature of or above 100.4F or a YES to a question will result in the athlete being sent home. (It would be a good idea to self-screen at home before coming)
  • Students will sanitize hands before starting workouts.

REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION

  • NO Mask NO Participation.
  • A mask will be worn when not actively participating in drill or scrimmage.
  • Face covering will be worn by coaches.
  • All participants (coaches and players) are to use hand sanitizer, at the start, during and the end of the workout. 
  • Players must bring their own drinks/water bottles.
  1. There will be NO SHARING OF WATER BOTTLES.
  2. NO WATER REFILLS WILL BE PROVIDED but student bottles should be of the kind that will work with the touchless water jugs.
  • Students will not intermingle with other teams on site.
  • Social distancing and the wearing of masks will be enforced when the athlete is not actively participating.
  • Workouts are closed, students and coaches only.
  • IF YOU DO NOT FEEL WELL PLEASE STAY HOME.

PICK-UP PROCEDURE

  • If a student needs to be sent home from practice:
    1. Student will be separated and masked
    2. Parents will be called
    3. Student will wait at the flag pole near Door #1 of the school
  • When the practices and games are completed and the team is dismissed:
  1. Rides must be punctual
  2. No one may leave the vehicle
  3. Athletes must maintain social distancing, be masked, and not intermingle with other teams when waiting to be picked-up

PLEASE REMEMBER:  Any athlete that cannot adhere to these guidelines will not be permitted to participate.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic school sponsored PIAA pre-participation physicals will be run differently than in the past.

WHEN:    Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 6-8 PM
WHO:       Fall athletes by appointment only
WHERE:  Apple Hill Medical Center, Entrance A, Suite 290
COST:      $15 (Cash only)
FORMS:   Sections 1-5 of the PIAA CIPPE form must be completed to
                 gain access into the building along with being screened for
                 COVID-19 at the door

                 view the complete procedure for physicals.

Athletes may make arrangements with a personal physician for a physical but it should be scheduled at least six weeks in advance of the season. 

WellSpan offers walk-in sports physicals seven days a week
.

The physical must be on the official PIAA CIPPE form dated JUNE 1, 2020 or later to participate in sports for the 2020-2021 school year.

Spartan Success 

Spartan Baseball, Track & Field, Cross Country, Football and Softball teams have won YCIAA and YAIAA league championships. Many Tech athletes have qualified for and found success at District and State basketball tournaments, cross country and track meets, swim meets, and wrestling championships. In addition Spartans have led our division in several statistical categories. We are also very proud of the large number of league sportsmanship the athletic teams continue to accumulate.

 


BANNERS, SIGNS, NOISEMAKERS, LISTENING DEVICES, AND SPECTATOR DECORUM

The presence and/or the use of balloons, banners, laser pointers, noisemakers, pom-poms or sports balls (by spectators), shakers, signs, sirens, strips of material, towels, whistles, and/or portable listening devices (without earphones) are PROHIBITED! The use of pom-poms by cheerleaders and small portable listening devices with earphones is permitted. Spectators are prohibited from removing their shirt and/or using face/body paint or any garment that covers the face while in attendance. 



Interscholastic Athletic Opportunities Disclosure Form

In compliance with State regulations, York County School of Technology completes the Interscholastic Athletic Opportunities Disclosure Form in late October of each school year.  This reporting requirement provides a detailed review of athletic programs offered by York County School of Technology and includes the number of students participating and the cost of each competitive athletic program for grades 9 through 12.  

A copy of the report is available for review in the Administration Office.
