COLLISION REPAIR TECHNOLOGY

This is a high tech area that is designed to provide training for persons interested to provide training for persons interested in learning how to repair damaged vehicles.  Students will learn how to repair damaged vehicles.  Students will learn how to repair wrecked vehicles using the latest techniques and equipment available.  This technical area features a Chief E-Z Liner frame machine, Dupont paint system, the latest spray guns available, and an Omni down draft spray booth with an oven.  Hands-on activities are mixed with the correct blend of theory to allow the students to master the techniques of frame repair, MIG Welding, painting and custom designs, dent removal, suspension systems, brakes, electrical systems, and state inspection.

  • Pennsylvania State Inspection-Cat II

  • Mobile Air Condition (MACS)

  • SP2 Safety

  • I-Car Certifications (24 possible)

  • PA Skills Certification (NOCTI)


What will I learn? 

Students will master competencies in the Collision curriculum, which will include:

  • Safety

  • Auto body design and construction

  • Non-structural repair-preparation

  • Structural repair – damage analysis

  • Estimating

  • Welding and cutting

  • Refinishing

  • Customer relations

  • Fuel and exhaust

  • Plastic repair

Post-Secondary Education available at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC), University of Northwestern Ohio, and Pennsylvania College of Technology
