Parent Resources for Distance Learning


Parents and guardians will access Skyward to view student schedules, student grades, lunch account balances, any fees owed, and messages from the school. School information throughout the school year will no longer be mailed or sent home with students. 

Logging In
Usernames were generated by York Tech. An email was sent to Parents/Guardians titled, "York Tech Account Access Information." In this email was your Username. Passwords are set by the user and the district is unable to see or change them.

Skyward login page.

Start of School Forms

As we start the 2020-2021 school year, York Tech has several forms that need to be completed and submitted electronically
. The following is a checklist of all the forms that should be submitted by parents and/or guardians.

Grade Notifications
Grade notifications can be configured to send email alerts when specific things occur related to the student's gradebook. Some examples include Low or High Score notifications, Missing assignment notifications, and gradebook last entry notifications. This will allow parents and guardians to stay abreast of the student's grades. To set this feature up, log into the Family Access and click on "My Messages" in the top right corner. Then click on Settings. Navigate through the options and be sure to click "Send A Copy to My Email"!


           Schoology is an integrated learning management solution that provides course management, mobile learning, and support for system-wide communication. With Schoology, students can digitally submit homework assignments, review grades, participate in interactive discussions, receive announcements and feedback, take tests, write academic blogs, and more. As a parent, you will be able to view your child's activity within the platform. Student progress and activity will be monitored by faculty to ensure a safe, secure, and controlled environment. Resources for Acquiring Low Cost or No Cost Internet


  • Comcast: Free Public WiFi - Free for 60 days on all Xfinity-branded hotspots located in businesses or provided to the public. Residential modems broadcasting the xfinitywifi network are not included.
  • Comcast: Internet Essentials - Free for 60 days if qualified, Speed increased to 25 Mbps down


  • All data caps are suspended during pandemic


  • Offering unlimited data during pandemic
  • Opening wifi hotspots


  • ALL current T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers who have plans with data will have unlimited smartphone data for the next 60 days (excluding roaming).
  • Providing T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers an additional 20GB of mobile hotspot / tethering service for the next 60 days – coming soon.


  • Not terminate the service of any wireless, home phone or broadband residential or small business customer because of their inability to pay their bill due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
  • Waive any late payment fees that any wireless, home phone or broadband residential or small business customer may incur because of economic hardship related to the coronavirus pandemic.
  • Keep our public Wi-Fi hotspots open for any American who needs them.


  • Not terminating service if they are unable to pay their Sprint bill because of the coronavirus, and
  • Waiving late fees incurred because of economic circumstances related to the pandemic.
  • Customers with metered data plans will receive unlimited data per month for 60 days (a minimum of two bill cycles) at no extra cost.
  • We will provide customers with an additional 20GB of mobile hotspot data per month for 60 days (a minimum of two bill cycles) at no extra cost.
  • Customers with mobile hotspot-capable handsets who don’t have mobile hotspot today will now get 20GB as well per month for 60 days (a minimum of two bill cycles) at no extra cost.
