Submit applications after July 1, 2022 for the 2022-2023 School Year.
Beginning with the first day of the 2022-23 school year, FREE meal status for ALL
STUDENTS will NO LONGER APPLY
The federal government program, which provided free meals to ALL students due to COVID,
has been discontinued as of the end of the 2021-22 school year.
Parent/Guardians will have access to Free and Reduced Applications by the following means:
1. Distributed via email in the beginning of August to all parents/guardians.
2. On the school website ytech.edu in the beginning of August
3. Hard copy during Back to School Night on August 18
4. Hard copy provided to students upon request when going through the lunch line.
All parents are urged to submit Free/Reduced Applications if they feel they may qualify. All
unpaid cafeteria charges are put into student obligations, which can affect extracurricular event
participation, athletic participation, dance participation, open lunch, and graduation.
Completed applications can be mailed to the school, York Tech, Attn: Dana Myers, Cafeteria,
2179 S Queen St, York PA 17402 or emailed directly to Dana Myers at [email protected]
Applications should be submitted at least two days prior to the beginning of the school year.
Applications that are submitted to other school districts for siblings are not transferrable to York
Tech, so an application must be submitted to York Tech.
Approved prices for meals for the 2022-23 school year are as follows:
Student Breakfast-Reduced: $0.30
Student Breakfast-Full: $1.90
Student Lunch-Reduced: $0.40
Student Lunch-Full: $2.85
If you have qualified for Free & Reduced School Meals in the past, or if you think you may qualify now, we encourage you to complete an application and return it as soon as possible. New students to York County School of Technology should fill out a Free & Reduced Meals application.
Home school districts do not forward free & reduced applications. The York County School of Technology cafeteria operates independently from other school districts.
All new students who qualified for Free & Reduced Meals previously should submit a new Free & Reduced Meals application to YCST.
Please allow 24 to 48 hours to process applications. Parent/Guardian will then receive a notification email or letter.
Families who receive a Direct Certification Letter from York County School of Technology you do not need to fill out an application for that school year.
Families who receive a Direct Certification Letter from the home school district please forward a copy to the YCST Food Service Department.
