Electronics & IT Support
This program prepares students to maintain, support, and upgrade computers and mobile devices. Students learn how the components of a computer interact with the operating system software so they can apply that knowledge when troubleshooting a faulty computer system. Students will perform repairs and upgrades to hardware, software, and other IT-related devices; learn more about electronics and how circuits make IT equipment function; and maintain and troubleshoot computers so they operate effectively and remain virus free.
Students at York Tech are required to wear a uniform. Upper garments (shirts, sweatshirts, etc.) must be purchased through the school's Tech Gear Store. Lower apparel and safety equipment varies by program. The specific uniform requirements for Electronics & IT Support can be downloaded using this link.
