Ensuring their safety involves staff members working directly with first responders, which takes precedence over sharing information about an incident with the public. Oftentimes, distributing details too soon can interfere with the response by emergency personnel or make a situation worse.

Therefore, communication will be sent to families once it is safe to do so. Naturally, a delay may occur between the start of a safety event and when families receive an official update. Rest assured that, regardless of the communication's timing, immediate action will be taken to ensure the safety of students.
