This role is ideal for an organized and proactive professional with strong clerical skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist with office operations, communication, and record-keeping while ensuring efficiency and professionalism in all interactions. Key Responsibilities Provide clerical and administrative support , including document preparation, data entry, and correspondence. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and other software applications to complete tasks efficiently. Manage hard copy and electronic mail systems , ensuring timely and accurate distribution. Operate standard office equipment such as copiers, printers, and phone systems. Read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures as necessary. Communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing with staff, students, and visitors. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information . Assist with school promotions and marketing efforts to enhance program visibility. Respond promptly to difficult or emergency situations with professionalism and sound judgment. Ensure compliance with school policies, legal requirements, and background check protocols . Provide administrative support in the following areas: Conducting research Preparing reports Handling requests for information Preparing correspondence Receiving visitors Arranging meetings and events Maintaining accurate paper and electronic files Reading, interpreting, applying, and explaining rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Participating in meetings, in-service activities, and training opportunities as required Perform other essential duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of two years of secretarial/clerical experience with satisfactory performance evaluations. High school diploma or GED required . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) . Basic knowledge of hard copy and electronic mail systems . Ability to operate standard office equipment efficiently. Strong communication and organizational skills . Knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary . Valid driver’s license required. The ideal candidate will have a passion for student success, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Social Media Content Creation and Management Collect and curate content from staff, students, and program activities to showcase successes and events. Develop and schedule engaging social media posts across multiple platforms. Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize engagement. Maintain a content calendar to ensure a continuous flow of high-quality, relevant posts. Student Career Services Provide one-on-one career coaching for students, including resume reviews, interview preparation, and career planning. Support students during externships, ensuring they meet learning objectives. Conduct follow-ups post-externship to assist with career transitions. Externship Site Development Identify and establish new externship site partnerships. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing externship partners. Serve as the liaison between students, externship sites, and the organization to ensure alignment of expectations. Student Success & Career Readiness Encourage and support students in achieving their career goals. Track and report student success metrics, such as externship completion rates and post-program employment outcomes.     < Back Computer Networking Teacher Job Type: Full Time Apply Now Job Overview & Description Computer Networking/IT Teacher The York County School of Technology Cisco Networking Academy Program seeks a professional and dynamic high school information technology teacher in the field of networking for an immediate vacancy. The teacher is responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program that focuses on the design, implementation and management of networked systems of computers/IoT, peripherals and associated software while preparing students with the technical skills required in the field of cyber security and network administration. This program includes instruction in the following network technologies and standards: system design, network architecture, operating systems, security, communications protocols, client support, messaging services, network device management including routers, switches, associated wireless equipment, and troubleshooting. High School Students who complete the program would be prepared for a variety of industry certifications including but not limited to Network+, Security+, and Cisco. Program completion will provide a path to higher education in the field of Information Technology or entry level network administrator, network specialist, network technician, junior cyber security analyst, or help desk. Candidates who meet one of the following three criteria are encouraged to apply: 1) Possess a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Information Technology related field, with at least related work experience—at least two years for candidates with a bachelor’s and four years for those without a bachelor’s. Candidates should hold or be willing to obtain Cisco Instructor status. It is preferred that candidates hold or are willing to obtain Net+ and/or Cisco certifications (i.e. CCNA, CCNA Security) as well. Individuals without appropriate teaching certification through the PDE must be willing to complete coursework and testing requirements through Penn State University to obtain Career and Technical Education teacher certification. OR 2) Candidates may possess a PDE CTE Teaching certification in Network Systems Technology with significant networking knowledge and possession of (or ability to earn) related industry certifications and/or Cisco Instructor status. OR 3) Candidates may possess a PDE Business, Computer, and Information Technology Teacher certification with significant networking knowledge and ability to earn related industry certifications and/or Cisco Instructor status. Candidates will need to complete any requirements through Penn State to obtain additional CTE certification in Network Systems Technology. The salary range for this position is based on the professional contract scale. For candidates who do not possess PA teaching certification and/or a master's degree, the range is $55,905--$71,527 annually for the current school year. Candidates with Level I or higher PA teaching certification and/or advanced degrees will fall in the $57,000--$90,000 range.
