< Back Class Rings Students in Grades 10-12 who wish to purchase and receive their class ring in time for the holidays must submit an order no later than Monday, Sept. 30, 2024. Below is a letter from Student Services Company, York Tech's class ring provider, with additional information. Dear Parents, York Tech students are getting ready to order their official York County School of Technology class rings. A time-honored tradition, your student will wear their custom class ring with pride for years to come! The program is introduced to the sophomore class, but juniors and seniors are invited to participate as well, if they haven't already. Please take a moment to view this short class ring presentation . You can view our digital class ring brochure here , and the class ring order form and price list are available here . You can submit your student's class ring order by going to sscrings.com and following the steps. The deadline for all orders is Monday, Sept. 30! You can upload the completed class ring order form online, or have them hand in the order to the representatives during lunches on Sept. 30. All rings ordered by the deadline will be delivered in school before winter break this December, giving your child an optimal amount of time to wear his/her ring while still in high school and making this purchase a great holiday gift idea! < Back Sports Physicals WellSpan has increased its prices for walk-in physicals from $15 to $40. However, $15 physicals will be offered temporarily on the following dates: Tuesday, June 3 , 6-8 p.m., York Tech's Fieldhouse Wednesday, July 23 , 6-8 p.m., York Tech's Fieldhouse These events are specifically for York Tech and York Country Day School student-athletes who are planning on playing a sport for the 2025-26 school year. Student-athletes must sign up ahead of time; no walk-ins will be accepted. Appointment times are first come, first served and can be reserved using the following links: Register for June 3, 2025 Register for July 23, 2025 One athlete is permitted per spot, so, for example, two siblings would need to reserve two spots. Physicals obtained through WellSpan outside of this event will be at the $40 rate. As a reminder, student-athletes who wish to participate in a sport during the 2025-26 school year must submit a sports physical on the proper PIAA form dated May 1 or later. This educational planning guide is a resource to be utilized by parents and students to enable all students to make informed decisions about their academic courses in preparation for post–secondary education. < Back Talent Show Mark your calendar! York Tech's chapter of SkillsUSA will be hosting a talent show on Thursday, Dec. 7, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. There will be 11+ performers, all York Tech students, who will showcase many skills, including dancing, singing, and instrumental music. All students, staff, and community members are invited to attend. Tickets will be sold at the door for $3. (York Tech students involved with CTSO will get in for the reduced rate of $1.) < Back HROT to Appear in Hanover York Tech's Hot Rodders of Tomorrow teams will make a special guest appearance during the Cars, Coffee, and More event at The Markets at Hanover on Saturday, Sept. 30. The teams consist of York Tech students, who will demonstrate their abilities by disassembling and reassembling engines as quickly as possible. The event will start at 8 a.m. and last until noon. < Back Culinary Arts Overview Students in the Culinary Arts program will learn to chop, filet, and create exciting cuisine every day as they experience the fast-paced culinary industry. Students gain valuable restaurant experience by cooking for the student-run Spartan Inn and providing food for large groups and events. The curriculum also includes popular units about baking breads, cakes, and pies, which gives students the leeway to experiment with confections and chocolate. In addition, this program covers other industry essentials, such as food safety. Students accepted into it will take Culinary Arts courses during all four years at York Tech, with the exception being students who participate in a co-op opportunity during their senior year. Careers Uniform Students at York Tech are required to wear a uniform at all times. While in their shop classes, they must wear the uniform designated by the program instructor. At all other times, students may wear their shop uniform OR York Tech apparel, which is sold through the School Store and the Fan Shop . Please review the Student Handbook for a full explanation of the dress code. The specific uniform requirements for Culinary Arts can be viewed below.
